KPFK welcomes its new General Manager, Bernard Duncan.
Lydia Brazon and Rodrigo Argueta, have been elected by the Local Station Board Delegates to serve as KPFK Representatives to the Pacifica National Board. This is another important step toward returning responsible governance and progressive values to Pacifica Foundation, the organizational parent of KPFK.
Due to an unexpected vacancy, GrassrootsKPFK Listener-Sponsor candidate Aryana Gladney has been seated on the KPFK Local Station Board. Congratulations, Aryana!
GrassrootsKPFK Listener-Sponsor candidates Chuck Anderson, Lydia Brazon, Brenda Medina and Michael Novick and GrassrootsKPFK Staff candidates Omar Burdet and Jim Lafferty have been elected to the KPFK Local Station Board. Also, the important position of first alternate in the Listener-Sponsor category has gone to Lawrence Reyes.
Warm thanks and appreciation to all supporters of GrassrootsKPFK candidates! By electing our candidates to six seven of the twelve available seats you have sent a strong endorsement of progressive values at Free Speech Radio. These LSB members-elect pledge to support:
- The common principles of our campaign platform, and
- an ongoing effort to restore and extend grassroots accountability, creativity and effectiveness at KPFK (90.7 Los Angeles, 98.7 Santa Barbara) and the Pacifica Foundation.
